This website is operated by Protect Rice County, a grassroots movement of Rice County, Kansas residents (“we”, “us”). We are not affiliated with Rice County government or with any energy company.

When you sign the petition or give us your details at an event, we collect your name, email address, phone number and address. We use this to run the petition and to keep you informed about meetings, actions and community news.

Text messages are opt-in only. Signing the petition does not subscribe you to them. If you asked for text alerts, we send roughly 2 to 4 messages per month about meetings, actions and deadlines. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information is sold, and no mobile information or consent to receive text messages is shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Opting out of texts does not remove your petition signature, and it does not stop email unless you also unsubscribe from email.

Signing the petition subscribes you to campaign email updates, which is stated on the form where you sign. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and using it stops campaign email to you.

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. A small number of vetted service providers handle it strictly on our behalf and only to run the campaign.

Petition signatures, meaning names and the fact of signing, may be presented to Rice County officials, which is the purpose of a petition. We do not publish signer email addresses or phone numbers.

Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts. Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop email. To be removed entirely, email us and a person will take care of it.
